Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Remo ("we", "us") for your use of Remo — the web app at app.go-remo.com, this website, and the Remo browser extension (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, don't use the Service.

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 to use the Service, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan. You must be able to form a binding contract.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password secure. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. Don't share your account with anyone else.

4. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change or be removed, and there may be interruptions, bugs, or data issues. We don't promise any particular uptime. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

Remo has a free plan and paid plans (Basic, Advanced, Professional), each available with your own AI provider key ("BYOK") or with AI included ("Managed"), billed monthly, quarterly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe. The free plan has usage limits that are shown in the app.

  • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the plan and interval you chose, until you cancel.
  • Trials. Where a free trial is offered, it runs for 7 days. Trials are available on BYOK plans only. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the plan starts and you'll be charged.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and it won't renew after that. We don't give pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period, except where the law requires it or where the 14-day cancellation right below applies.
  • 14-day cancellation right. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have 14 days from starting a new subscription to cancel it for a refund. If you ask us to start the service immediately and then cancel within those 14 days, we may charge you a proportionate amount for what you used before cancelling. To use this right, email support@go-remo.com.
  • Prices and taxes. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and indicate whether tax is included. We may change prices for future billing periods; we'll tell you before a change affects you, and you can cancel if you don't accept it.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your paid features until it's resolved.

6. Your AI provider keys

On BYOK plans you connect your own key from an AI provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter). That account is yours: you are responsible for it, for that provider's terms, and for whatever it costs you. We encrypt your key, and you can disconnect it at any time. We are not responsible for a provider's availability, output, pricing, or for anything they charge you.

7. Your content

Your CV, profile, saved answers, résumés and everything else you put into Remo stay yours. You give us permission to store and process that content only to run the Service for you — scoring jobs, generating and tailoring résumés, filling in forms. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI models. You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for it being accurate.

8. AI output — you are the author

Résumés, cover letters, drafted answers and job-fit insights are suggestions generated from what you gave us. AI can be wrong, and can produce text that doesn't reflect your real experience.

You are responsible for reviewing everything before you submit it to an employer. Anything you send is your statement, not ours. We don't guarantee any outcome — no interviews, no offers, no responses — and we're not responsible for the consequences of an application you submit, including one containing an inaccuracy you didn't catch.

9. The browser extension

The extension fills in application forms using the details you've saved in your Remo account. It fills; you review and submit. It never submits an application for you. Form-filling is best-effort: sites differ, and a field can be missed, mismatched, or filled with something that needs correcting. Check every field before you submit. You can disconnect the extension at any time from Settings.

10. Job listings

Listings come from third-party job boards and company career pages. We don't control them and we don't guarantee they are accurate, current, still open, or genuine. Job data is for your own personal job search only — don't redistribute or resell it. Your application is between you and the employer, under their terms, not ours.

11. Acceptable use

Don't:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to misrepresent your experience or identity;
  • scrape, bulk-export or resell job data, or use the Service to spam employers;
  • break, overload, probe or work around the Service's limits, security, or paid gates;
  • use someone else's account, or let someone else use yours;
  • upload anything malicious, or anyone else's personal data without their permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — deleting it removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we stop offering the Service. If we terminate you without cause while you're on a paid plan, we'll refund the unused part of the period you've paid for. Sections 7, 8, 10, 13, 14 and 15 survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will get you a job.

Remo is not a career, legal, immigration or employment adviser, and nothing in the Service is professional advice.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment, or lost data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived by contract, and nothing here limits them.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada have exclusive jurisdiction — except as set out below.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK: this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change is material, we'll tell you before it takes effect where it's reasonable to do so. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you don't, cancel and stop using the Service.

17. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a successor of our business.
